BEFORE THE OPERATION
Nose surgery is a very demanding operation that requires a lot of sensitivity. During the consultation, the doctor will inform you about all the possibilities and risks of this surgery. The correction will be discussed in detail and any questions will be answered. Rhinoplasty can be performed using two different techniques. The specialist will decide together with you which procedure will be used, then the modelling of your nose can begin.
AFTER THE OPERATION
For a nose correction on the bone, two nights are scheduled in the clinic. For a cartilage rhinoplasty, the procedure is performed on an outpatient basis.

Closed rhinoplasty
With this procedure, the incision is made inside the nose. This leaves
almost no visible scars remain and the stitches are also self-dissolving. The
Access is via the nostrils.
Open rhinoplasty
The open variant is mostly used for more complex interventions or for
when second corrections of the nose are performed.
This method can be used for fractures that have occurred in the past.
Here the incision is made at the bridge of the nose, i.e. between the two nostrils, in order to
ensure that the scar is barely visible.

Why does it make sense to have follow-up cost insurance?
As with all other surgical procedures, complications can also occur with cosmetic surgery despite the doctors taking the greatest care.
Costs for follow-up treatments are not covered according to § 52 Para. 2 of the Social Code.
