Breast reduction

Breast Reduction / Mammoplasty

Large breasts are not always perceived as positive. Large breasts can lead to physical limitations in everyday life, postural problems and even severe pain. In addition, patients are often subjected to a great deal of suffering. The surgical procedure of breast reduction is one way to correct the size, shape and volume of the breast. Existing asymmetries can be corrected. The excess skin, fat and glandular tissue can be removed. Often a breast reduction is performed in combination with a breast lift or an internal bra. The necessity must be discussed individually with the doctor on site.

Breast reduction procedure:
The breast will be measured precisely and together with you it will be determined how much tissue should be removed and which treatment method will be used. In addition, we will decide which incision will be used. This depends on the amount of tissue to be removed and the desired breast shape.
For larger amounts, an inverted T-cut shape is usually chosen. This starts in the lower breast crease, as well as centrally from the crease vertically up to the nipple and around the nipple. Alternatively, for smaller amounts of tissue and skin, the incision can be made around the nipple only. In addition, the nipple can be reduced in size and moved upwards, depending on how much tissue needs to be removed. The goal is always to make the breast look natural and to achieve the optimal shape for you.
