What costs are covered by follow-up cost insurance after cosmetic surgery?

Follow-up cost insurance generally covers the costs of medically necessary treatment that may arise in connection with your cosmetic procedure.
This includes claims for reimbursement from your health insurance fund of up to €300,000 and the costs of treatments in private beauty clinics of up to €10,000 (see private billing clause).

What costs are not covered by follow-up cost insurance?

Dissatisfaction with the result of an aesthetic treatment is not considered a complication and is therefore not covered by the insurance. Complications caused by self-inflicted injuries are also excluded. Numbness can be an example of possible complications.
